Throttle Challenge SDD

The throttle pedal assembly design offers an affordable and uncomplicated solution to the throttle problem. It resembles conventional setups found in current vehicles. The modular design allows attachment to different locations like the vertical firewall, a dashboard strut, or an angled floor surface. A key feature is positioning the upper pivot/tube as shown, achievable with adjustments to tube groove angle, pedal rod "D" flats' angle, and torsion spring settings. The drawing "THROTTLE PEDAL LAYOUT" shows a 300 mm (1') minimum clearance for footroom. This design accommodates users of all foot sizes due to the lower pivot's single-direction movement caused by a bottom pedal stop. While the spring improves comfort and prevents nose damage, it may be optional. The tube notch limits pedal rod movement to 40 degrees to safeguard the smartpot from overtravel. James Sawyer.
