Three Piece Cyclonic Separator
thingiverse
This first DIY cyclonic separator features dimensions based on Neil Stone's "Puu-0_4400_cyclone_calculation_sheet.xls" spreadsheet, an input feed down ramp to eliminate turbulent dead zones, and a three-piece design for easy assembly with separation between pieces. It also includes a support for mounting the cyclone on a 5-gallon bucket and requires four size 10 bolts, nuts, and washers as additional hardware. Printed successfully on a Prusa I3, it has been handling a table saw's debris during a shoe bench build. To set up, print the three parts; attach the outfeed tube to the top piece, mount the bottom piece to a bucket with four screws, glue the top and outfeed pieces together, and connect shop vac hoses to the input and output ports for efficient dust collection.
