Three Magnet Connector for Delta Printer Arms
thingiverse
This is a special joint I've designed for a Delta printer, which allows me to use three 4mmx8mm cylinder nm52 magnets instead of just one on each arm. The idea behind this is that three magnets connecting a steel ball will create a much stronger connection than using only one magnet. I'm unsure if it'll work perfectly, but it seems promising. The main issue I see with this joint is that it's thicker and might interfere with other parts on the carriage or effector. To use this design effectively, you'll need to make sure the magnets are oriented correctly - all having magnetic poles pointing in the same direction - especially when attaching them to another magnet. I included an OpenSCAD file for anyone who wants to experiment with different variables and adjust the part to suit their needs. Be aware that if you increase the diameter of the joint beyond 4mm, it might cause more interference problems.
