This is the beginning of my automatic coil winder. The coil will be fixed in the chuck. I plan to set the number of windings through the Control interface, press Start and wait for the coil to be wound. Next, a motor mount with a light barrier for measuring revolutions will be added. Even though I prefer plain C on AVRs, I'll program it using an Arduino Nano + SainSmart Keypad with 1602 LCD. It may take several days as I've never programmed Arduinos before. I haven't printed the part yet but will do so right after I get my printer working. Here are my Print Settings: Printer - Prusa i3 derivative; Rafts - Doesn't matter; Supports - Yes; Resolution - 0.2; Infill - 60%, since it doesn't need to be extremely strong. Notes - This is what I configured in Slic3r, but I haven't printed it yet. I use PLA. Tell me what works better for the claws. Custom Section: I think I've completed the chuck so far. Next up is a motor coupling with an integrated wheel encoder for a light brake. Electronics will be based on an Arduino Uno and a SainSmart LCD Keypad. You can find more information here: http://www.sainsmart.com/sainsmart-uno-1602-lcd-keypad-shield-v3-for-arduino-uno-mega-r3-atmel-avr.html. I'll start something new when it's completed, regardless of whether or not it works properly.
