
Three Holiday Bowls and Lids

Three bowls and three lids. The lids fit any of the bowls. Choose any pair to make a holiday bowl.The outside of the bowls is a low resolution version of a half sphere as output by openSCAD's sphere command. The inside of the bowls is an inverse image of a holidayornament, a polyhedron. Support columns stabilize two of the bowls.Three lids are provided. They extend the low resolution version of the half sphere; one to a complete sphere. Rims of a portion of the decorative ornament complete the lids. The rims nest with the inverse image that makes the inside of the bowl.For a small bowl that can hold a few usb sticks or secure digital cards print bowl_1 and lid_1.For a more ornate bowl with additional support columns and a half openSCAD sphere as a lid, print bowl_2 and lid_2.For an interesting gift print bowl_1 and lid_joke. Both sides of lid_joke nest with any of the bowls; however one side completely fills the bowl as it is composed of half of the inverting polyhedron.The polyhedron used to decorate the inside of the bowl, "inner_polyhedron", is included.The bowl without support, "bowl_only", can be used as a cap to cover to cover the inner_polyhedron when the inner_polyhedronis held in bowl_1 or bowl_2.Note that bowl_only can also serve as a holiday ornament. Small removable decorating clips available where ornaments are sold can be used to add a hanger.OpenSCAD code is provided.
