Three Flashforge printer mods.
thingiverse
Three simple yet fantastic enhancements to the Flashforge Creator, and possibly other printers too. 1. Most tech-savvy individuals and DIY enthusiasts have old motherboards and CPUs collecting dust, so repurpose one of those heat sinks for a great use. 2. Hate the power switch location? Move it. Cycling printer power just got significantly easier. 12/6/15: A protective switch guard was added to prevent accidental bumps. 3. Add a DC-DC converter to convert 24v to 12v and power some LED lights shining on the print bed. Since video, I added more lights, which really light up nicely now. The DC-DC converter can be purchased from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/ASIN/B009HPB1OI/donscollecti The LED Lights are also available at Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/ASIN/B005EHHLD8/donscollecti As an added bonus, I included an STL to publish a "thing", and I've been wanting to keep a couple of things inside the printer cavity like common hex keys (allen wrenches). Since this is targeting DIY'ers, you can drill your own holes for whatever possible use this little bracket may have. Check out the video: http://youtu.be/TLZLgCZLVNQ
