Three-dimensional chess (Laser cut)
thingiverse
Here is my version of 3D chess from Star Trek. I reworked chess pieces slightly based on jwrm22 design - really good job, btw. I created square bases for each piece out of 1mm clear perspex and then laser cut clear and translucent blue squares from 2mm or 3mm perspex. Next, I glued everything together using Tensol 12 adhesive. Check out the picture to see how it all came together. To create a stable base for my Star Trek 3D chess game, I designed a stand made from 6mm perspex and glued the squares onto it just like in the picture.
