Threading die guide
thingiverse
If you've ever tried threading a die by hand, you know what a difficult task it can be. Starting the thread and keeping it in line can be very frustrating. To make alignment easier, I created a tool that keeps the die holder perpendicular to the stock axis while threading. It makes starting the thread and keeping it aligned incredibly simple. STEP files are provided so you can customize it to your die holder, especially the Custom* files. Check out how it works: https://youtu.be/n-P1q3uZm1E This tool has many features: It accepts die holders up to 38mm OD (1-1/2"). The maximum stock size is 20mm. Replaceable bushings are included to match your stock size (the green part in the illustration). Replaceable adapters are also included to match your die stock holder (the orange part in the illustration). A lubrication port is built-in. You'll need the following hardware: 8 M5 40mm socket head screws 8 M5 hex nuts
