Threaded rod clips
thingiverse
**UPDATE Jul 9 2018:**\r\n- added option for asymmetric tube positioning\r\n- increased slot size for securing "payload" with cable tie\r\n\r\nMany of us have vertical printer braces on one or both sides that offer robust mount points for equipment like OctoPI, cameras, and various lighting devices. These larger diameter mounts provide a bonus by not adding weight to the X carriage or bed.\r\n\r\nI designed these clips to hold LED strips, but they can also be used to secure any other device you want.\r\n\r\nYou can secure the clips with a cable tie through their edges - though this shouldn't normally be necessary as they sit snugly around the rods. You have the option to do so.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, if you want to secure the item inside the tubes to avoid vibrations, there are holes for another cable tie.\r\n\r\nI printed these clips in PLA with 50% infill without supports and a brim, as bed adhesion could be a problem otherwise.\r\n\r\nTried to make them customizable but it didn't work well - you can still adjust the parameters at the top of the SCAD file.
