THREADED PLUG

THREADED PLUG

Good morning, If you're like me and often misplace your oil tank stoppers or fuel caps on garden machines, I've got a solution for you. I'm sharing a DIY screwed stopper with an inside diameter of 32 mm and a 3.75 mm thread that can be modified to fit various needs. This particular stopper is designed for my HYUNDAY HTRE2240 chainsaw's oil tank cap, but it has the potential to work on many commercial models. Feel free to check compatibility. You'll find two versions: one made from rigid PLA and another from Filaflex, which includes a small loop to prevent future losses. I'm really impressed with how well the Filaflex version turned out! However, the surface finish isn't perfect due to printing it upside down with supports. Maybe I could have printed it right side up with internal supports instead. I'll try that next time. **UPDATE 25/08:** Printing the thread with material inside is a bad idea. I spent over an hour removing the support holders from the thread, which resulted in a less precise and ugly thread. So, let's stick to printing upside down for now. If you need screw caps, feel free to experiment and make your own. Enjoy!
