Threaded PINDA Guard for Prusa i3 MK2
thingiverse
I had a tough time attaching other PINDA probes to the thread, so I decided to create one with a printed thread that works surprisingly well. Print Settings: Printer: Prusa i3 MK2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1mm Infill: 40% Notes: It's essential to note that if you're using this in an enclosed or heated chamber, print it with ABS filament instead of PLA. From my experience, the heat can cause the PLA to soften, making the guard extremely difficult to remove if needed. I had to use a Dremel to get mine off when using PLA. The thread will print better if you use a finer z-resolution, so I recommend 0.1mm. Print it with the rounded end facing up and screw it onto the probe so that the bottom of the guard is level with or slightly above the end of the probe.
