Threaded E3D Hotend Mount for Ender 5
thingiverse
This mount is for the threaded version of the E3D heatsink designed for the Ender 5 but it should also be compatible with most Creality style printers. There are three extra holes in the plate which are sized to accomodate heatset inserts. These inserts can be used to mount accessories to the plate. I use them to mount a zesty nimble for remote direct drive. There are holes to accomodate 2 M3 nuts on the right side of the mount. These holes are for optionally mounting a bltouch. The bltouch is offset from the nozzle by x=-25 and y=0. The z offset should be around 2mm. There is a slot for a small zip tie for cable management on the left side. The fan spacer can be used to set the height of the fan. Move the nozzle to z=0 and then let the fan rest of the spacer as you secure it to the mount via M3 screws to M3 nuts in the provided slots. This sets the ideal fan height. The fan shroud is designed for a 50-15 radial fan and attaches via a single M3 nut/screw. All parts are oriented for printing. The fan shroud should have supports touching the build plate only. You should print this in a filament that can handle higher temperatures. I printed mine in PC. The mount should have supports only for the 2 nut holes. You can print this in any rigid filament including PLA. I print with around 2mm walls/top/bottom and 33% gyroid infill.
