I needed a nice way to easily mark a wooden handrail I was building and thought I could just make locator pin that could thread onto the existing pipe. Used Fusion360 and the McMaster Carr to bring in the threaded piece (NPT threads aren't supported in fusion and the hole tool doesnt export geometry for printing), which turned out to be such an easy 3d model/print. Simply print out the piece, thread it on the iron pipe and push your work piece against it.
