Thread Connector (OPENSCAD Library)
thingiverse
The modules in this library are used to create the 2 halves of a threaded rod and a nut to hold the 2 halves of a design together. This library uses the threads.scad library that can be found at https://openscad.org/libraries.html. To use this library place both "Threaded Connector.scad" and "threads.scad" in your openscad library folder or in the folder with your design file. The "Threaded Connector.scad" file is useful to create parts that you can print to test clearance in the threads between the nut and the connector. It also has a cut-away to show the clearance of the threads in the openscad GUI. Version 1.0 Version 1.1 - Added arguments to mk_connNut() to create a nut with knurling instead of an 8 sided nut (You might need to increase the "Turn off rendering at <value> elements" to use knurling) Knurling support modules are reused from the "Customizable Container with Customizable Lid height" https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4226367
