Thracian votive bas relief
myminifactory
Thracian votive bas relief from ancient Greece's Macedonia region, created around the 2nd century AD using high-quality marble. The artifact is now part of the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire collection in Brussels, Belgium. This magnificent sculpture was crafted using cutting-edge technology, including ReMake and ReCap Pro software. In this stunning work of art, Asdules, a god closely associated with Dionysus, can be seen galloping ahead of an enormous vine teeming with harvesters who are depicted as being deeply in love. Asdules reaches out to grab the beard of Pan, who is following behind him. Silenus, a character known for his shaggy appearance and age, stands before them, exuding a sense of vintage charm. This Thracian relief serves as a testament to the dedication made by Claudianos Pyrrhos, Pyrrhos, son of Landros, and their workforce, who were likely stewards or owners of a local wine estate. Their inscription reads: "To Asdules, god of our vineyard, from Claudianos Pyrrhos and Pyrrhos, son of Landros, in the year 246."
