sketchfab
The Thracian ceramic rhyton, dating back to the 2nd century AD, now resides at the Regional History Museum in Sliven, Bulgaria. In 2008 and 2009, a necropolis containing three mounds - Kito's Mound, Stanimirova's Mound, and Yakimova's Mound - was thoroughly investigated. Located approximately two kilometers north of the village of Krushare in Svilengrad District, the necropolis was found to contain the burial site of a Thracian aristocrat from the Roman era. Close to the grave, two altars (ritual platforms) were discovered, accompanied by numerous broken ceramic vessels and a small number of glassware. Using fragments with distinctive ornamentation, the ceramic rhyton with an ovis shape was reconstructed.
