The Thousand Character Classic Bead is a well-established Chinese text designed specifically for learning and practicing character training. Since the sixth century, this ancient poem has been used as an effective primer for teaching Chinese characters to young children. Exactly 1,000 unique Chinese characters are woven throughout the text in four-line stanzas, arranged by line, line per verse. Each stanza rhymes, allowing it to be memorized with ease.
