Thought Process
thingiverse
A thought-provoking art piece created for JMU's Art 300E course, this artwork visually embodies machines grasping and compacting knowledge while molding it into a practical form. As such, it adopts a distinctly impartial stance on the automation of our daily routines. The initial file provides a glimpse of how the design should appear when fully built, with the other components included for convenient printing purposes. Notably, the numbers displayed on the ticker tape represent hexadecimal encodings of three randomly generated seeds used to create the jagged head structure symbolizing thought processes, and the text near the bottom of the box spells out "brain" in hexavigesimal, or base 26 notation.
