Thomas compatible tracks
thingiverse
I designed several tracks in OpenScad that are specifically tailored for printing with ABS or PETG, as PLA simply isn't flexible enough. These designs use a 0.3mm layer height and don't require any support material, allowing you to print multiple copies without wasting plastic. The adapter features built-in supports that need to be carefully cut away after printing. If these supports are slightly tight, some additional cleanup may be necessary - using a file or sandpaper can help smooth out the surface. If you're interested in working with the OpenScad files, they're available on bitbucket for anyone to access and contribute to. Feel free to submit pull requests if you have any modifications or improvements to suggest. You can see these parts in action by checking out this video: https://youtu.be/a5R067HhCzc
