Make your 3D printer create music using its natural sounds by converting song into G-code. You can turn any song into G-code that makes the printer move along axes, producing the desired tune. This guide explains how to convert the Nightmare Before Christmas theme song into G-code using its sounds. Follow these steps to get started: Head to your slicer's configuration settings and locate printer settings. Inside printer settings, select custom G-code from the menu options. Here you'll insert the provided G-code that starts right after the "G28" command. Once inserted, save the setting with a name like 'This is Halloween'. When you're ready to slice an object, go ahead and select this new printer setting in Slic3r. Finally, start printing - your extruder will heat up while the printer hums along with the song. After the song ends, it'll re-home its axes before beginning your print. Note: This guide was made using Repetier and Slic3r, so other platforms may not work as smoothly. Proceed at your own risk! This code was specifically designed for Printrbot Simple's four-by-four inch print bed. Most printers won't encounter out-of-range issues but still use it carefully. I used HomeConstructor's converter software to turn MIDI files into G-code. Find the link here: http://en.homeconstructor.de/converter-convert-music-in-g-code.html
