I work in the tech industry and this meme/comic, much like everyone else, has become a visual representation of the chaos we are subjected to on the daily. I had sought out to make something special for my coworkers and decided I would make my own take on this piece. Here are the details of the changes I made as I wanted it to more closely resemble the comic... EDITS MADE TO DOG: - Added smile - Changed nose some - Added the black strip to his hat - Changed his eye shape - Changed his arms, making them more natural - Added hands to rest in his legs like in the comic (also helps with better printing) NEW ADDS: - Created a new base with cut-outs of the individual pieces, which allows for pressure fitting of printed pieces - Created new speech bubble that is the same shape and font used within the original comic - Added more flames and changed composition for more visual impact I printed this with a Bambu Labs X1 Carbon printer, using a single AMS (allows for four color prints). There were changes that I made to the slicer, but I won't get into those details as those items will vary greatly on experience/slicers used. I have multiple files that will allow for MMU (multi-material) prints. Note that you may need to separate shells within your slicer to do so. FILAMENT NOTES: I used PLA for all pieces (details and links below); also used clear PET-G as the top layer on supports for the flames which allowed for very beautiful bottom layers. - BASE: Black Glitter PLA - Speech bubble: Natural (clear), Black, and White PLA - Chair/Table/Hat: Brown PLA - Mug: Stone Marble PLA - Dog: Tan, Black, White PLA - Flames: Yellow and Orange PLA and clear PET-G for top layer of supports ADDITIONAL PRINTING POINTERS: - Speech Bubble: In order to achieve the stick to remain clear and the speech bubble outline to not lose it's shape, I had to actually leave the pieces separated within the Bambu Labs slicer but place them slightly on top of one another. So I have included the separate speech bubble pieces in the event other slicers have the same experience. - Fire was printed laying down, with the above note of using PET-G as the top layer on the support. Please respect the Creative Commons licensing, as this is not approved to be sold in any format. ASSEMBLY NOTES: - The various flames are inserted via one corner first then pushed and rocked down via the other side in order to pressure fit into their respective places. - I used Gorilla Glue Super Glue to permanently adhere the pieces in place AFTER test fitment. Placed just a couple of drops/small line in each respective hole within the base as well as a small dot on the bottom of the mug to adhere it to the table.
