This Custom Long Furby spine-to-furby connector

I created this part in SolidWorks as a personal project, which surprisingly gained more attention than I anticipated. To ensure compatibility with various screws, it's advisable to use coarse-threaded ones that will securely grip the PLA material. During assembly, I found it necessary to enlarge the pilot holes slightly and apply heat to the screws to facilitate their insertion into the plastic. This design is specifically intended for use with 1/4 inch ball-and-socket doll armatures and a 1998 Furby (model 70-800). To secure the larger component, I applied a small amount of super glue to the bottom of the battery door, allowing the device to remain easily removable by unscrewing the smaller side. The battery door can still be opened for maintenance or battery replacement purposes. I'm happy to answer any questions and, if you're interested in seeing the final product, it's available on my Tumblr page at well-i-guess-i-own-a-furby-now. Enjoy!
