Third person view drift body for WLToys 1/28th scale cars
thingiverse
I designed this custom body to hold a camera in third-person view and rotate the view with a headtracker and a high-torque 9g servo. It fits (K969, K979, K989, K999, P929, P939) models as long as the rims and tires won't bind on the body. My model is a p929. I replaced the stock wheels and tires with drift ones and extended the wheelbase using an extra part included in my kit (thanks WLtoys!). There's a clip-in spot on the right for an Eachine ATX-03, and a snug spot at the front for a small battery to power the vtx and camera. The camera mount is designed specifically for a Runcam Nano. Here are the parts I used: * WLToys 1/28 RC car with drift wheels/tires * High-torque 9g servo in standard towerpro style * Eachine ATX-03 * RunCam Nano * Small 1s battery to power the video system The lights on this body are all high-intensity 3mm LEDs, with six in the rear and four in the front. Thanks for checking out my build! **UPDATE 11/26/18**: I added files for driver side vtx configuration, which keeps the vtx away from the heat of the motor.
