Third Hand - Helping Hand - Solder Assistant
thingiverse
I was looking at the complete third hand with base, and wasn't impressed by how small it was, plus it was pretty pricey for what you get. So I just bought the hands and came up with this base to print out myself. You can also download sections for the arms and print the whole thing if you're really keen on doing it. I figured at $3-4 for the whole deal, including alligator clips, it was worth just buying them. The larger size (right around 200mm) is best used when gluing the arms in place, while the hex area is .5mm wider face to face. If you have a resoldering air gun or something that can get the base to soften after it's printed out, use the smaller size, and then heat up the hex area on the base, pushing the arm in that way.
