To fix my T61 ThinkPad's broken power plug, I trimmed the wire and covered it with heat shrink tubing for a neat appearance. Removing plastic from the plug, I soldered clean wires ensuring correct polarity. After printing the replacement part, I drilled out any excess plastic if needed. Testing the fit, I applied glue to the inside lip of the opening before pushing in the plug. Once set, I used heat on the shrink tubing without melting the ABS plastic for a professional finish.
