Stands for Thinkpad P50, each design file has to be printed twice (so they support left and right side of the laptop). - The front stand is bigger and makes the laptop to be more vertical, it makes more space on the desk and increases the height of the display (which depending on the height of your desk could be more ergonomic), recommending to use external keyboard in this setup. Recommending to use 4-5 perimeters as this peace needs to be strong. - The back stands are small and offer just a small offset from the desk, these are much smaller to print, and do not improve the desk space real estate, but they still allow better cooling, so for heavy CPU/GPU application having the laptop lifted slightly can be good. Offering few parametric variations of the stand, 3,4,5,6,7 and 8 cm height to choose the height which suits the user the most. The one shown in the photo is 5 cm and suits me the most. On these lower angles, the built-in keyboard can be used. Just make sure you mirror the model when you will be printing the other side. And for some bad printers rotating the model by 180 degrees to make the bigger part of the model to face the built platform should make it easier to print. However all chamfers are 45 degrees max, so it should be safe to print either way. Using 3 perimeters when printing back stand is enough The source files are parametric so feel free to make your own angles/variants, or ask me in the comments to generate something specific.
