Sculpture A Man Gazing Upward, Dating Back to the 21st-17th Centuries Before Common Era. This figure represents a three-dimensional replica of an ancient relic unearthed in the Kostanay region, Russia, from the Bronze Age era. Several legends are tied to this artifact, with some even suggesting that it is connected to extraterrestrial life from beyond our planet. The artifact bears different names across various regions. In Kazakhstan, for instance, it is known as the "Tobolsk Contemplator." A distinctive feature of the relic lies in its design. The curves of the sockets surrounding the eyes create an illusion, even in direct sunlight, that they are partially closed. As light changes, the gaze of the figure appears to shift direction, mirroring the fall of the shadow it casts. I maintain a stone replica of this sculpture, and I can attest that these optical effects are genuine.
