I wanted to create expansion components that were both simple and seamlessly integrated into the Thinkfun system yet still impressive. So I conceived an idea that would be truly awesome and then designed the parts necessary to bring it to life. The result is this mechanical arm, which showcases my creative vision. The kit includes several innovative components: angled gears: These versatile pieces allow for the redirection of rotational energy. Bent Plate: This feature enables secure mounting of objects onto the face of a box or other surface. Thread loop: Designed specifically for threading string or cabling, this component helps manage it and transmit force over non-linear distances. 3-way Plate: I created this part to enhance the stability of hinges, making them more robust. 3-Plate: This is a 3-hole connector that might already exist elsewhere, but I couldn't find an identical version. Finger: This specialized part plays a crucial role in creating the claw gripper for my mechanical arm.
