Create custom tags with QR codes for your Makerbot designs at user group meetings using this bookmarklet. Generate smaller tags displaying the QR code on one side and human-readable information on the other. Initially, the CC-BY license was set for the example picture, but it has been changed to PD for free usage. Errors in the DOM walking have been fixed by rewriting portions using Regex for improved compatibility. To use the script, visit the Thing's page and run the bookmarklet. It grabs relevant data, formats it, and is compatible with most browsers (excluding old IE versions). Print, cut, fold, and attach tags to your printed thing for easy identification. Due to security concerns, JavaScript link isn't allowed on Thingiverse; download the .js file, copy its contents, and paste into the address bar or create a bookmark with the full script URL. Alternatively, use the bookmarkable links at whosawhatsis.com/paraphernalia/thingitag.html. Note that the script has been updated for the new Thingiverse design, but testing is only done in Chrome.
