Thingie (Key) Holder

My elderly mother had a bunch of screws sticking out of her night stand, which she used to hold things like her flashlight and other items. I imagined her hitting her head on one of those screws if she fell or rolled out of bed, so I created a gizmo that could hold her stuff without causing harm. The first version didn't work well, but I later figured out the problem - the horizontal print nature of 3D printers made it weak. So, I redesigned it to use the horizontal printing in my favor, which is what you see here. To make this design strong, print all the flat surfaces on the platform with the posts also on the platform. I used TPU with 100% infill, and that worked well - it's rigid but still soft. To eliminate any sharp edges, I created globes at the tips of the posts. This design eliminates the need for supports because the rounding nature of the holes and the globes ensures proper printing as each layer is built on top of the next. You can use this gizmo to hold keys or anything with a string attached.
