Thingidiff: Visualizing 3D Model Diffs with Thingiview.js

Thingidiff is a spinoff of Thingiview.js that enables web-based visual comparison of related 3D objects. It allows users to set colors and opacities for identical or unique faces in the objects being compared. This tool comes in handy when comparing derived models with their originals, or evaluating revisions of a work in progress. The example page showcases these use cases. Although this is the author's first project in Three.js and Javascript, they welcome bug reports on the GitHub Issues page. The code can be found on the GitHub repository, and an example setup is available at n0r.org/thingiview.js/examples/client_side_diff.html. Thingiverse, a vast resource for mostly open-source 3D printable objects, features a built-in understanding of derivative objects and a web-based 3D object viewer, but lacks the functionality to combine these features for easy comparison.
