Thing-O-Matic X-Axis Follower

Thing-O-Matic X-Axis Follower

The default ToM X-axis is over constrained, so it has a lot of friction and can bind. The belt retainer is also less than elegant. This fixes both problems with one printed part and two small bearings. This thing replaces one pair of the slide bearings on either the HBP or the ABP with a pair of small ball bearings and provides a better clamp for the belt. This fixes a most of the skipped X axis steps issues and lets you move at up to 100mm/sec! This thing is derived from the work of Ed at http://softsolder.com/2011/04/10/thing-o-matic-x-axis-rod-follower/ I did a small amount of work to his original script for easier printing. Ed puts out a huge amount of great upgrade work for the ToM, check him out! Shameless Plug: If you are looking for more ToM upgrades, check out my big list at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6443
