The Thing-O-Matic employs nylon spacers for various purposes. Currently, I am assembling a Makerbot without the safety cutoff board affixed to its wooden base. Thus, I designed and printed an alternative board. Although it may not be universally applicable, this customized part enables attachment of the safety cutoff switch on the side of the z gantry. If you require matching-scale plastic components, I can produce them accordingly.
