Replacing a TOM MK7 Extruder with a Custom Hot End Assembly. I've Created a New Aluminium Plate to Hold the Modified Hot End. Additionally, I Redesigned the Mechanical Components Rather Than Utilizing Minimalist MK7 Elements. Design Finalized: 30 May 2015 - System Functions Properly. Error in Drawings Identified and Corrected on 1 June 2015. Fanduct Adjustments Made Alongside Modifications to the Aluminium Plate and Hot End Holder Block, Now Utilizing 4.5mm Components. Instructions for Assembly: The majority of printed components are produced using ABS plastic materials. Printing Parameters: - Shell layers: Part A utilizes small parts (A1 & A2) while Part B is split across small part S5, big part D1 (top) and shell 2 (main frame) - Infill percentage set to 50% Before beginning assembly, identify and transfer components from your existing MK7 extruder. These parts include the Thermostat, Thermocouple, and Fan. A 1-inch M3 bolt is necessary for spring adjustments on the right side of the custom hot end assembly (details can be deduced through observation or figure-out-able knowledge).
