Introducing an update to the LCD Temperature Display project on Thingiverse: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6753, this new version includes a keypad for enhanced functionality. To get started, follow the LCD temperature display tutorial and then proceed with the following steps: 1. Obtain a 3x4 button grid (e.g., http://www.sparkfun.com/products/8653) and wire it to the pins on your Tom motherboard using the same method as the LCD temperature display. The pin chart for this keypad is: * COL2 -> 15 L,4 * ROW1 -> 17 L,2 * COL1 -> 19 L,0 * ROW4 -> 16 L,3 * COL3 -> 18 L,1 * ROW3 -> 20 B,7 (to X-MAX B,5) * ROW2 -> 3 C,4 Note: If you need to connect pin 6 or 7 to unoccupied pins, use the ones suggested in the instructions. 2. Compile your own code by merging the .patch file with your source tree and editing the configuration file. Use the provided .hex file, but be aware that it is specific to a 2-toolhead setup. 3. Utilize the keypad for various functions: * Pause/Unpause system: Press 5 * Display temperatures: Press 1 * Display log: Press 3 * Scroll up/down in display: Press 2 or 8 * Display print queue: Press 7 * Previous/Next file in queue: Press 2 or 8 * Stop/Start current or next file in queue: Press 4 or 6 * Delete selected file from queue: Press = * Add file to queue: Press # and select file, then press * to return to queue screen * Motor control menu: Press 9 * Increase/Decrease motion time (e.g., 1sec, 2sec): Press 1 or # * Increase/Decrease motion length (e.g., 10mm, 30mm): Press * or = * Move X: Press 4 * Move Y: Press 2 * Move Z: Press 3 * Change motion speed: Toggle between modifying motion time and length, then press 0 to return to motor control menu * Main menu: Press 0 * Previous menu item: Press 2 * Next menu item: Press 8 * Select menu item: Press 5 or # Main menu items include: * Motor Menu: Accesses motor control (equivalent to pressing 9) * Temperature Menu: Accesses temperature display (equivalent to pressing 1) * File Queue: Accesses print queue (equivalent to pressing 7) * Message Log: Accesses log display (equivalent to pressing 3) * Abort Print: Immediately stops the current print and starts the next one in the queue if available * Reset Printer: Resets the printer * Destroy Universe: Resets the printer with caution For the .stl file, use the same .scad file from the previous project found on Thingiverse.
