The automated build platform in the Makerbot Thing-o-matic has received mixed reviews; while it works fine with the rest of the bot, my acrylic ABP v2 sides broke soon after installation. As a result, I've been searching for a solution and currently use two ABPs as elevated HBPs while working on fixing them. The new versions of these parts include a slot for an adjustable m3 nut to fit the ABP side to any imprecise X-cut in the x-stage and allow for Y-direction tolerance fits. Some modification and cleaning might be needed, but I use 18-20mm M3's for better leveling. I'm inspired by the ToM tensioner things and plan on tensioning the ABP belt next to achieve a perfect print.
