Thing-O-Matic Arms

Thing-O-Matic Arms

The Replicator Makerbot Arms are impressive, yet slightly large for Thing-O-Matic. To rectify this, I reduced their size to 75%, merged the components for single-extruder printing and adjusted the mount for enhanced flexibility. These arms can be mounted on a Gen 4 Interface. For assembly, print two of each part, connect them, and affix them to the mounting plate using Sugru, Double-Stick Foam, Velcro or Glue. Note that Barsoomian Bots require four parts each, while Octo-Bots need eight. If you are a Jetty firmware user aiming for multi-colored prints, set Z pauses at 10.46mm for contrasting color, 14.22mm for hand and arm screw/plate detailing, and 18.4mm for shoulder logo printing.
