The TOM scale up model has dimensions of 500mm x 640mm x 640mm, necessitating an upgraded build platform. Progress updates include skp file versions from February 2013 to April 2014 and July 2016, with the latest update in April 2018 involving a change in platform installation method and addition of a laser module. The TOM uses 2020 extrusions (10x640mm and 6x460mm), linear bearings, shafts, printed parts, and various mounts, with updates addressing issues like bearing positioning, extruder assembly, and motor mounting.
