I Made a Watch Band for My LG G Watch R, Featuring a Slotted Version and PLA Hinges. This is my latest DIY project: a watch band designed specifically for the LG G Watch R. One of its standout features is a slotted version that allows you to use a quick-release pin, making it incredibly easy to put on and take off. I chose to use PLA (Polylactic Acid) as the material for the hinges, which not only provides durability but also helps keep costs down. After wearing this watch band every day for nearly a month, I was pleased with its performance – until the clasp broke. It turned out that I had been pushing it a bit too hard at times, and the constant stress eventually took its toll. To fix this issue, I modified the design to include more material in the area where the break occurred, ensuring that my watch band can withstand even the most rigorous use cases.
