Thin Qi Charger

This is a super-slim (6mm) Qi Phone Charger built from scratch, redesigned from low-cost Qi Chargers readily available in China - similar to the one I used previously: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1226086\nI despise plugging devices into my phone. The plug always wears out or gets clogged with dust and debris. My phone features integrated Qi charging capabilities, so I acquired a cover for the USB port and use wireless charging exclusively. \nSo I wanted a compact, thin Qi charger that can be plugged into any battery or wall adapter to take anywhere. The cheap ones sold in China are enormous! About the size of a smartphone. If you open one up, you'll discover it's mostly empty space inside. \nSo I stripped down one and designed a case around the electronics to be as small and thin as possible. This is the result.\nPrint Settings\nPrinter Brand: RepRap\nPrinter Model: JG Aurora A3 Prusa I3\nRafts: Not required\nSupports: None needed\nResolution: .2mm & .1mm\nInfill: 15%\nNotes: You can print the base with or without a raft and on .2mm resolution. I recommend printing the top at .1mm as it is only .6mm thick. This will result in four layers (.3mm base + 3 @ .1mm), making it more stable and solid.\nI printed this in black, but if you print it in a translucent material, you'll be able to see the charger lights. If you print it in clear plastic, you might even be able to see all the electronics inside!\nAssembly\nSome assembly is required...\n The top has guides to fit onto the base. Just place all the electronics inside as shown and then secure the top down with Super Glue. Now you've got one of the smallest Qi charges on the market!
