See the newest version of this design here! (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2051675) This latest phone case design closely resembles its predecessor, found at (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2051071), with one significant difference - a small lip on the inner edge near the surface that enhances stability by firmly holding the phone in place. This feature proved effective, as evident from the video footage of the bottom edges where the phone was dropped while still in the case, resulting in partial chipping of the bottom pieces. This is an iPhone 6 case featuring five hex sockets strategically placed around its perimeter. The dimensions of each side are precisely 2 mm thick, and the back measures about 4 mm thick. Two central socket holes measure 1/4 and 5/16 inches, while the three at the bottom are 1/4, 5/16, and 3/8 inches in diameter. I created this design using Inventor, which employs millimeters as its unit of measurement. Consequently, when importing the STL file into Cura or similar slicing software, the dimensions may appear small due to its mm scale. To rectify this, users should adjust the settings according to the specified dimensions - a maximum X dimension of 70.97 and a max Y dimension of 142.14. The design also features an indentation in the bottom half that facilitates easier bending when inserting or removing the case. Print Settings Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker 2 Rafts: No Supports: No Infill: 20 Post-Printing This print turned out well, with minimal printing flaws. However, there is some warping on the back face of the case, but no peeling or other defects are present. How I Designed This I utilized Autodesk Inventor to craft this design and drew inspiration from two schematics found on Google Images, which can be accessed here (https://www.dropbox.com/sh/arr8215uvqb5ui5/AAAcxp7K8Z7l7q_B4LfcLZZ9a?dl=0). These images served as the foundation for all subsequent designs.
