Thin and light 35mm film holder

Thin and light 35mm film holder

This is a very light film holder which can hold six frames of 35mm film. I designed it to use when digitizing 35mm film using a macro lens attached to my mirrorless camera. The additional barrel file works only specifically with a Minolta MC mount 50mm f/3.5 macro lens with 1:1 adapter, which I'm including here on the off chance that someone has the same lens, or would like to modify the design to suit their own macro lens. The film holder is almost too light, but that lightness allows the holder to slot into the barrel and stay in place while I hold a translucent section of plastic between the camera and the sun to take the shot. The length of the barrel is sized just right to bring the film into focus at about 1:1.1 ratio, which allows a little bit of the film and sprockets around the image to show up in the shot (assuming a full frame sensor).
