Thicker Catan frame border for thicker hex pieces
thingiverse
I had downloaded shocksofmighty's "Catan terrain tiles, modified for cylindrical magnets" file from Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1991496 and ended up not wanting to deal with the hassle of making sure I had magnets facing the right directions. So I took Jornd's water file (border-v2.STL) and thickened the base to match the thickness of my hex pieces. You will likely need to clean up the joint pieces with an exacto knife to make the pieces fit together more smoothly. The more you use it, the easier the pieces will slide together. To avoid this, you can print at 0.1mm layer height or lightly sand the connector joints after printing. For the base game, you need: 6x Catan_Water_Boarder.stl For Seafarers, you need: 2 x border-withHex-tall.stl 2 x border-extShort-tall.stl 2 x border-extLong-tall.stl (As well, you'll need to print 7x Sea hexes and 1 x harbor-generic.stl) Update: I increased the thickness of the Seafarers water boarders: border-plusHex.stl, border-extShort.stl, and border-extLong.stl. I named the modified tiles with a "-tall" suffix for the Seafarers expansion.
