Thick Plate Model for Standard 60% Tray-Mount Keyboard Builds With PCB-Mounted Stabilizers

thingiverse

This is a model that can be used to produce a thick plate (i.e., greater than 1.5 mm) for standard 60% (e.g., GH60) tray-mount keyboard builds that use PCB-mounted stabilizers. Note that this plate will only accommodate PCB-mounted stabs. Plate-mounted stabs will not work with this plate. It's my understanding that the maximum plate thickness for a PCB using Cherry MX-compatible switches is 5 mm. The model is available in .svg format for laser cutting and .stl format for 3d printing. I used the Swillkb plate builder to generate the .svg file; Inkscape to widen the stabilizer cutouts, such that PCB-mounted stabilizers can fit through the cutouts; and Tinkercad to convert the .svg file to .stl format. (I couldn't figure out how to cut polygons using Swillkb directly.)
