The lid of the Thermomix TM5 holds firm in place even with bigger shocks. Easy to remove. When printing, it's best to use a backing material. The best results are achieved when it is placed at an angle on the print bed and supported by backer material, just like in the pictures. However, the backer should not be too thick, as this can make it difficult to remove from the edge of the holder.
