Thermomix MC
thingiverse
Thermomix MC Thermomix struggled with manufacturing certain components, and the MC was one of them. We've already gone through two iterations. The plastic is inherently unstable under stress, causing it to crack and discolor. The MC functions as a cover vent, measuring cup, cutter, and hand press, which means precise dimensions are crucial. I'm creating my own version because other online designs fail to replicate the original's cookie cutter functionality. The open end of the original tapers from 3mm to 1.4mm, forming a precise cutting edge. To withstand heat during cooking, I'm using ABS as the print material. It also requires smoothing for easy cleaning in the sink or dishwasher. I created an alternative drawing with larger spigots, allowing for more substantial venting of steam. Personally, I think the gold version looks better than the clear one. To improve the clear print, I'll need to adjust the slicer settings and possibly try vase mode with 100% fill. Now it's time to see how the printed prototype turns out.
