Greetings everyone! I'm excited to share my rendition of the iconic Star Wars Thermal Detonator from Return of the Jedi. All fellow Star Wars enthusiasts can now download these files to create their own detonator. The model is designed using Autodesk Inventor 2014, but only the wires for the electronics are omitted. For a glimpse of the detonator in action after 3D printing in polyamide, check out this video (link provided). The outer diameter measures 2.5 inches, and the printed version weighs approximately 78g including batteries. The best print technology for optimal results is Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) in polyamide.
