Thermal Clip (Mass Effect Fan Art)

Shepard gazed at the sleek new assault rifle with an air of awe. The epitome of modern technology still lingered with a subtle laboratory aroma. "Where's the heat indicator?" Shepard asked. The scientists exchanged knowing glances, their faces creasing into secretive smiles. "We've removed it," one scientist revealed. "There's no such thing as overheating anymore." Shepard's expression reflected his astonishment. "No more waiting for your weapon to cool down! All excess heat is now dissipated through a simple heat sink that can be ejected when it reaches maximum capacity." A hint of skepticism crept into Shepard's voice. "So... you've essentially gone back to the old system, one that resembles ammo clips?" The lead scientist whispered, "Progress cannot be stopped," as he handed Shepard a pack of Thermal Clips. That's how I imagine the "upgrade" in game mechanics that caught players off guard in Mass Effect 2 =) Nevertheless, Thermal Clips do look impressive, so I created a fan-made version!
