This goes with the "THERMADOR CAR COOLER - MAIN WINDOW BUFFER" It's the small bit that goes on the tab that sticks out, to keep it from scratching your glass. I believe those outer metal leaves are just there for tension and did not originally have an end cap. It's a lot harder to scratch your window up with these fitted.
