In twilight's hush, where shadows dance and play, Amidst the whispers of a dying day, A lone figure stands, with eyes aglow, Watching as the world below grows slow. The stars appear, like diamonds bright, Reflecting all the love that shines so light, Their gentle twinkle beckons me to roam, To follow paths that only darkness knows. In this still hour, when darkness reigns, I hear a voice, a whispered refrain, A melody that echoes through my mind, A song of longing, left behind. The wind it howls, like a mournful sigh, As if the trees themselves were crying high, Their leaves rustle and whisper low, Of secrets kept, and stories yet to grow.
